Dean Voelker Sr.

Dean Voelker Sr, age 61, of Reedsburg, WI (formerly of Salinas, CA) passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 after a brief but hard fought battle with cancer. He was born on September 28, 1958 in Scottsdale, AZ the son of Melvin and Cheryl (Rush) Voelker. 

He was a one of a kind man who lived his life the way he saw fit, without a care of what others thought of him and doing what he could to live life to the fullest. He had a sweet disposition and a heart of gold. Many knew him as an organ repair technician, musician or dancer. In truth, he was a musician, dancer extraordinaire, fixer of anything electronic, an entrepreneur (Dean of Music), an inventor, a dessert connoisseur, friend, proud father, grandfather, son, brother, nephew, and cousin.

He had attended Trinity Baptist Church.

He is survived by his significant other, Julie Smith; children, Natasha Voelker of Salinas, CA, Dean Voelker Jr of Salinas, CA, Celeste Voelker of Viroqua, WI, and Christian Voelker of Viroqua, WI; two grandchildren, Gabriel and Melanie; mother, Cheryl Voelker of Mission Viejo, CA; brother Todd (Melissa) Voelker of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, sister Kimberly (Philip) Peck of Chicago, IL, and sister Jamie (Darryl) Shedarowich of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. He also is survived by aunts, uncles and a multitude of cousins.

Dean was preceded in death by his father, Melvin, and his grandparents.

Visitation will be on Monday, June 1, 2020 from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg. A graveside service and internment will be at El Toro Memorial Park in Orange County, CA.

The Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg, and O’Connor Mortuary, Laguna Hills, CA is assisting the family.
