Debra L. Greenwood-Klang, age 69, of LaValle, WI, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on January 10, 1956 in Reedsburg, WI, the daughter of Rodney and Helen (Pearson) Greenwood. In 1967 her family sold the farm and moved to Montana where she graduated from high school. On November 26, 1983, Debra was united in marriage to Richard Klang. This marriage was blessed with four children.

Debra spent the majority of her younger years’ waitressing for her brother Jim at Greenwood’s Café and Club Chapparal, where she met so many of her beloved friends. She had the gift to gab, and wasn’t afraid to strike up a conversation with a stranger. No matter where she went, she was well known by everyone. She had the best sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. In her more recent years, she worked at Ho-Chunk where she loved her co-workers. She loved gardening, playing cards and having an occasional cocktail or two.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Debra loved having family dinners, cookouts, and campfires. More than anything she loved spending her free time with her grandchildren who were her absolute world. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. She will forever live on in our hearts and minds until we see each other again one day.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rodney and Helen (Pearson) Greenwood; mother and father in-law, Sylvester and Celia (Losic) Klang; brother in-law Marty Klang; sister-in-law Sharon Smithson.

She is survived by her husband Richard; children Heather (Josh) Ewers, Amber Klang (Jack), Karlie Klang (Mark), and Rodney Klang; grandchildren Savanna, Kaylee and Wyatt Ewers, Cashton and Oakley Warsaw; brothers Jim (Joy), Ronnie (Donna), and Steve (Denise); aunt Jeannie Wood; special cousin and friend, Roxanne Thompson; sister-in-law Sandy Klang (Mick); along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

A brief prayer service for Debra will be held on at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg with Chaplain Daniel Farber officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
