Delores L. Farber

Delores L. Farber, age 87, of Reedsburg, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Our House Assisted Living in Reedsburg. She was born on November 20, 1932 in Hillpoint, WI, the daughter of Ernest and Meta (Kruse) Meyer. Delores graduated from Reedsburg High School. On February 3, 1951, she was united in marriage to Ivan W. Farber at St. John Lutheran Church in Hillpoint, WI. This marriage was blessed with four children. Delores worked as a surgical technician at the Reedsburg Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Reedsburg, and helped with church decorating each season. As part of a mission group, Delores and Wayne traveled to Alaska and helped build homes. She enjoyed fishing and was often quite successful.   Delores enjoyed her weekly fitness group at Villari’s, and was the oldest member of that group. She was an advocate for breast cancer and helped many through their medical transitions. She loved cross-stitch and flowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kenneth (Marian) Meyer; and sisters, Lonita (Gordon) Schara and Ruth (Paul) Ann Keller.

She is survived by her husband, I. Wayne Farber of Reedsburg; children, David (Patricia) Farber of Reedsburg, Daniel Farber of Reedsburg, Pamela (Robert) Osborn of Kingsford, MI and Amberly Farber; grandchildren: Eric, Docia, Chase, Heath, Lindsey, Kristopher and Ryan; great-grandchildren: Brianna, Jaden, Ashlyn, Cole, Xander, Rylin and Avery; great-great-grandson, Colt; nieces and nephews: Steven, Larry, Doering-Dina, Jan, James, Beverly, Tom, Michelle, Pat, Marla, Mike and Ardie.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 P.M. on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the First Presbyterian Church in Reedsburg with Pastor Joseph Corbin officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 12 noon until the time of the service at the church.
