Donald "Don" Charles Stevens Obituary
Donald Charles “Don” Stevens, 84, of Loganville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Stoughton Hospital.
Don was born on July 30, 1941, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, to the late Walter and Margaret (Isaacson) Stevens. In 1953, Don’s family moved to Loganville from Nekoosa, WI, where his father purchased a feed mill business. Don graduated from Webb High School in Reedsburg in 1959, and later proudly served his country in the United States Army, stationed in Panama. On May 11, 1963, Don was united in marriage to the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Mary Louise Wastlick, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Loganville. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and many shared memories.
Don was a hardworking and successful businessman who owned and operated a trucking company for many years. He was someone who believed in putting in a full day’s work and took pride in everything he did. Beyond his work, Don found time to enjoy many things. He loved hunting, trap shooting, and playing cards with friends. He had a special passion for flying, which eventually led to him buying and piloting his own plane.
At home, Don found peace and happiness tending to his farm. He cared deeply for all animals and was deeply committed to his community, serving many years on the Sauk County Board and contributing his time to numerous committees, always willing to step up and do his part. Above all, Don will be remembered as a devoted husband, a proud brother and uncle, and a loyal friend. He had a strong presence, a love for the simple things in life, and a way of leaving a lasting impression on those who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary; his brother, David (Marilyn) of Loganville; his nieces, Kim (Joe) Heron of Waukegan, Illinois, and Becky (Mike) Riberich of Rock Springs; sisters-in-law, Marie (Fred) Teuscher, Phyllis Alvin, Beth Fuller, and Rita Wastlick; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a special friend, Darrell Dedrich. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Margaret (Isaacson) Stevens.
