Dorothy Deloris Haugh-Smith

Dorothy Deloris Haugh-Smith (Doty), age 80, of Reedsburg, WI, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Monroe Health Services. She was born on January 27, 1943 in Hannibal, MO, to William and Pearl (Pennewell) Fincke. In May of 1960 she graduated from Pine Bluff High School in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

She was united in marriage to David Russell Haugh of Reedsburg on August 31, 1963 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Reedsburg. David preceded her in death on January 21, 1988 in Fargo, ND. Doty later married David R. Smith on May 2, 1998 at the United Methodist Church in Reedsburg. He preceded her in death on May 3, 2002.

Doty retired in May 2003 after 43 years of work in banking and financial institutions. She had lived in Madison for eight years, Fargo, ND for 18 years, and relocated to Reedsburg in August of 1992. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Reedsburg.

She enjoyed the company of her family and friends, and was always known to be a sweet and welcoming person.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, David Haugh and David Smith; parents, William and Pearl Fincke; infant brother, Billy; her in-laws, Fred and LaVita Haugh; and special aunt, Emma Haugh.

Doty is survived by her two sons, David Andrew (Jill) Haugh, and Daniel Joseph (Abby) Haugh; and grandchildren, Ruby, Greta, August and Matilda Haugh; along with other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Dorothy will be conducted at 11:30 A.M. on Monday, July 3, 2023 at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg with Chaplain Mike Amberg officiating. Visitation will also be on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will be made in Calvary Cemetery, Reedsburg.
