Dorothy L. Schluter

Dorothy Schluter, age 95, of Reedsburg, WI, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021. She was born on August 6, 1925, in Cazenovia, WI, to Patrick and Mabel (Faga) Bodendein. On August 2, 1947, she was united in marriage to Robert Schluter in St. Boniface Catholic in Lime Ridge. This marriage was blessed with five sons. Dorothy and Bob lived most of their lives on a farm in the Cazenovia and Carr Valley area. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Lime Ridge, and a member the Homemakers in her younger years. She enjoyed gardening and canning. Dorothy also worked at Carr Valley Cheese Factory for many years.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert; sons Douglas and Richard; great-granddaughter Isabella Schluter; and sister, Marcella (Richard) Haas.

She is survived by her children, Larry (Diana), Dennis (Mary), and Ronald (Debbie); nine grandchildren, Chris (Andrea) Schulter, Jenny (Erich) Utrie, Courtney (Scott) Straka, Jason (Kathy) Schluter, Stephanie Schluter, Nicole (Matt) Burt, Jessica (Ryan) Murphy, Kaitlin and Bethany Schluter; 13 great-grandcildren; many nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy Schluter will be conducted 12:00 Noon on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Lime Ridge with Father Sanctus Ibe officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery in Lime Ridge, with a lunch to follow at the church. Memorials of remembrance may be made to St. Boniface Catholic Church.
