Dotty Jane Manweiler

Dotty Jane Manweiler, age 82, of Oak Lawn, Illinois, passed away on Thursday December 16, 2021. Dotty was born on January 14, 1939 in Reedsburg, the daughter of Anthony and Juliann (Peasal) Hudzinski. She was one of eight children, growing up on her family farm in Reedsburg, Wisconsin.

She married her husband, Marvin “Bud”, in Baraboo, Wisconsin on June 6, 1959. They were blessed with four children. Dotty worked as a Life Insurance Specialist for Prudential and cherished her lifelong friendships with her "Prudential Girls."

 Dotty loved to gather with family and friends, shop, play cards, and watch Wheel of Fortune. She loved her family best by cooking their favorite foods and showering them with gifts and encouraging words. To know Dotty was to know her endless generosity, unique sense of humor, and relentless optimism. She saw the positive in everything and went out of her way to make others feel special and loved. Her greatest treasure was her family, and her love for each of them knew no bounds.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Dawn; parents; siblings, Rosemarie Lenney, Joseph, Albert, Robert and Dale Hudzinski.

She is survived by her husband, Bud; children: Teri Manweiler (Richard Brock), Gina Doyle (Paul), Greg Manweiler (Isabel); grandchildren: Nicole (Matt), Paul (Shannon), Lyndsay (Adam); great-Grandchildren: Landon, Addison, Paul, and Luke; siblings Delores Premo and Ray (Nell) Hudzinski; sister-in-law, Debbie Hudzinski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Dotty Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Reedsburg.  The Reverend Patrick Wendler will be the Celebrant.  Visitation will also be on Wednesday, at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service.  Burial will follow Mass at All Saints Cemetery.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her as she was truly one of a kind.
