Douglas Graber Obituary

Douglas F. Graber, age 68, of Taft, TN, formerly of Mineral Point, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 30, 2023 while visiting family. He was born on May 10, 1954, in Dodgeville, WI, the son of Homer L. and Elaine E. (Unterholzner) Graber. Doug graduated from Mineral Point High School.

He was born into the cattle industry, one for which he had a great appreciation and passion. He was a former club calf producer. Throughout his life he mentored countless families across the country. Doug’s greatest joy in life was raising his two sons, and instilling in them his zest for life, love and cattle. Most recently he was the Herd Manager for Wright Way Farms in Tennessee.

Doug was united in marriage to Judith C. Belitza on February 3, 2012, in Pigeon Forge, TN. He was an avid sports fan, following the Mineral Point Pointers, Wisconsin Badgers and the Green Bay Packers. He felt privileged to preside over the marriage of several close friends and family members. Doug was a man of faith who knew Jesus as his Lord and Savior.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Virginia O’Neill and Mary Graber; brother, Karl at birth; and nieces Diane and Kris.

Doug is survived by his wife Judy Graber of Tennessee, sons, Garrett (Kelli) Graber of Reedsburg, and Brock (Holly) Graber of Poynette; grandchildren Elsa and Ben Graber, and Ripp Graber and expectant grandson; sister, Martha Graber of Cheyenne, WY; special niece, Nicole Graber (Steve Liepitz); nieces and nephews: Brian O’Neill, Jan (Bryan) Chamberlain, Michelle (Jeremy) Perri, Carolyn Timmerman, and Jon (Jeni) Cox; dog, Turi;  along with many other nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
