He was born in Osceola, WI and raised in East Farmington, WI, the son of Henry J. Arndt and Matilda (Feske) Arndt. On November 14, 1952, he was united in marriage to Wilma Hunt in Fort Worth, TX.  This union was blessed with six children.

He served in the U.S. Air Force for two years from 1952 until 1954. He and his family moved to Platteville, WI in 1954 where he practiced dentistry before moving to Reedsburg.  He began his dental practice in Reedsburg in 1955 and retired in 1989.

Henry was active in the Reedsburg community, St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church, and Excelsior Township for many years. He also was an instructor for the Wisconsin Hunters Safety Program for over 25 years.
