Justin, also known to many of us as E.J., was born March 8, 1986. He passed away April 21, 2020 in Reedsburg, Wisconsin.
EJ is survived by his mother and stepfather, Julie and Tim Asp. His father figure for most of his
life, Dan Douglas, Grandma Mary, as well as the entire Douglas family. Former spouse and continued friend, Carrah Krueger, Reedsburg. Siblings, Sean and Tina Asp, Bretta and Billy Oakes, and Aaron Asp and Julie Phillippi, all of Reedsburg. His nieces and nephews, Delaney and Cooper Oakes and Haley, Tyler and Daniella Asp. His grandmother, Tommie Saner. Aunt Kendra Roth and cousins Nick and Kaitlin, Uncle Ron Roth, Uncle Larry and Aunt Jeanne Saner and cousins Kelli, Kori and Karli, as well as many other friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his beloved Grandfather, Ken Saner and good friend Jason Webber
Woodworking and pottery were passions of EJ’s, that he excelled in, making many amazing
wooden tables and other pieces. He loved the art of pottery and produced dozens of amazing
pots for us to treasure. He loved to fish and could often be found with a remote control vehicle
cruising around his yard. Justin had a sweet, sensitive soul that loved babies and children, and
creatures of all kinds.
Justin faced struggles with substance abuse. He worked hard at recovery several times and
was so proud when he was able to take control over those demons. We know he is now finally
at peace. Our hearts are broken in losing him, and he will be missed eternally.
Private services will be held later this summer.
