Edmund Volk, age 81, of Reedsburg, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at the Reedsburg Area Medical Center. He was born in Reedsburg, WI on August 24, 1942. Edmund proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps from December 1, 1971 to November 29, 1972.

Ed loved to play card games and board games with his grandkids, and loved to spoil them. He loved to walk Athena, play the Lottery, and help his family out as much as possible.

He was preceded in death by his father, Martin Volk; his mother, Genevieve (Weitzel) Volk.

He is survived by his son, Martin Volk of Kansas City, MO; daughter, Tammy Volk (fiancé Darren Helm) of Reedsburg; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, sisters, Patricia Taylor of Merrill, and Mary Schultz (Volk) of Portage, WI; brothers, Carol Volk of Naples, FL, and Michael (Ruth) Volk of Reedsburg; along with other relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Edmund Volk will be conducted on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Reedsburg with Father John Blewett officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the mass at church. Burial with military rites will be held on Friday, July 12 at 10:00 A.M. the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI.
