Edward H. McFadden, age 81, of Reedsburg WI (Summer), Chandler, AZ (Winter), formerly of the Dutch Hollow area in rural LaValle, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Gilbert, AZ. He was born on September 7, 1939 in Dubuque, IA, the son of Robert M. and Catherine (Zahm) McFadden. He attended Loras Academy and Loras College in Dubuque Iowa.  On November 28, 1964 he was united in marriage to Mary DelRose Westhoff. He served his country in the Army Reserves. Edward worked in sales for the Kimberly Clark Corporation for 30 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Mary DelRose; children Julie (Leni) of Menomonie, WI, Thomas (Susan) of Woodbury, MN, Robert (Carrie) of Naperville, IL, and grandchildren Aeden of Faribault, MN, Sydney of Naperville, IL, Ryan and Kyle of Woodbury, MN, Joe and Danny of Naperville, IL; step-grandchildren Sylvia DuVernois of Kneeland, CA, and Mara DuVernois of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; sisters and brothers-in-law Floyd (Betty) Westhoff of Guttenburg, IA, Mark (Joyce) Westhoff of Petersburg, IA, Grace Hermsen of Manchester, IA, Mary (Richard) Bixby of Chandler AZ, and Carol (Bill) Noble of Kailua Kona, HI.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Catherine, his stepmother Ancy, his brother Faber, his sisters Ann and Susan; brothers and sister-in-law Walter (Janet), and followed in death by Roger Hermsen. 

The family requests memorials be made in Ed's name to the Knights of Columbus in Reedsburg, WI or St Vincent De Paul in Reedsburg, WI.

Mass of Christian Burial for Edward will be Celebrated Friday, January 8, 2021, at 11:00 am, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  The Reverend Pat Wendler, Pastor, will be the Celebrant.  Visitation will also be on Friday, at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service.  Burial with military rites will follow at Calvary Cemetery,  Masks are requested at the church.

The Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg, is assisting the family.
