Elaine E. Langbein, 96, of LaValle, passed away peacefully at her residence on December 6, 2024.

She was born on September 9, 1928 In Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Frank and Emily (Korous) Votava. On December 13, 1946, Elaine married Patrick Langbein Sr., in Phoenix, AZ, and they shared 78 wonderful years together. She was a graduate of UW-Madison School of Banking, and had a long banking career in Illinois.

Elaine enjoyed traveling, reading, boating on the Fox Chain O-Lakes and Lake Redstone, their annual fishing trips to Cass Lake, MN, and celebrating the holidays with family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard Votava; and great-grandson, Finley Langbein.

She is survived by her loving husband, Patrick, and their sons, Patrick J. (Sandra) Langbein Jr., James R. (Joanne) Langbein, and Robert A. (Alyce) Langbein. She is also fondly remembered by seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Elaine will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 12:00 Noon at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg, with Chaplain Mike Amberg officiating. Visitation will take place prior to the service, from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at a later date at Ringwood Cemetery in Ringwood, Illinois.
