Ethelee Mae Higgins (Jones) age 70, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026, at RAMC surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on October 4, 1955, to Ansel and Vada (White) Jones of Rock Springs.

Known affectionately as “E.B.” by those closest to her, Ethelee lived a full and meaningful life grounded in love, simplicity, and quiet devotion to others. She wore many hats throughout her life—homemaker, farm hand, devoted wife, loving mother and caretaker of Allyn and Joyce—always placing the needs of others before her own.

EB was an avid reader and collector of books, with tastes ranging from horror, fairy tales, sci-fi and suspense to romance. She found joy in gardening and canning, tending not only vegetables but many cherished plants over the years. Her home reflected her unique spirit, filled with collections of butterflies, dolls, skulls, spiders, and snakes, alongside photographs and keepsakes rich with memories. Though she lived simply in a small rented home, it was overflowing with warmth, character, and love.

She is survived by her only son, Shaun (Katherine) Higgins; her grandson, Mason Higgins; her step-granddaughters, Evelynn and Grace Kluck; and her sister, Avice Bruce.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Allyn Higgins; her parents, Vada and Ansel Jones; her sisters, Bonnie (Jim Raupp) and Vivian (Wallace Jones); her brother, Marvin Jones; her step-grandson, Ryan; as well as many other in-laws and loved ones.

The family extends a special thank you to Eugenia Braun and family for helping Mom over the years. Your unwavering devotion, love, and care meant the world to her and to all of us.

Ethelee was truly one in a million. The world is a better place for having had her in it, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Celebration of Life for Ethelee will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Staller Estate Winery, W8896 County Road A, Delavan, WI 53115 from Noon to 4 pm.
