Flora Ann Hankins

Flora Ann Hankins, age 89, of Princeton, Wisconsin, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023 at the Juliette Manor in Berlin. She was born on December 14, 1933 in Gays Mills, WI, the daughter of Frank O. and Bessie L. (Bown) Faith. On October 18, 1950, she was united in marriage to Jackie Guy Therion Hankins in Waukon, Iowa. This marriage was blessed with 12 children.

Flora was known as “Flo” by friends and co-workers, and to her family she was known as “Polly”. She enjoyed cooking at various restaurants, and for a time she owned a restaurant in the Dells called Harding’s Restaurant. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 110 in New Lisbon. She loved gardening, bingo, euchre, and doing genealogy researching family history. She also had a salt and pepper collection. Her greatest joy was her family and friends. Flora enjoyed cooking big holiday meals, and her door was always open to serve anyone and everyone in need.

She is survived by her children, John Hankins of Princeton, Kathy Zoellick of Ripon, Jackie (Don) Andryscz of Brooklyn, and Glenda (Ken) Sutton of Starke, FL; daughter-in-law, Patty Hankins; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends. She is also survived by her dog, Winston.

Flora was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie; her parents; children, Vicky Fish, Guy “Bill” William, Larry, Patricia, Randy, Amy, Robert and Richard; grandchildren, Heather Hankins, Kiara Vertz, Joshua Daley; sisters, Margaret Willems and Geneva Faith; brothers, Forrest Faith and Frank Leon Faith.

Funeral services for Flora will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, October 2, 2023 at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg. Visitation will be on Monday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at 3:00 P.M. in the Pine River Cemetery in Richland Center. The family prefer memorials of remembrance be given in lieu of flowers.
