Glen Getschman Obituary

Glen Wilbur Getschman, age 82, of Reedsburg, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 27, 2020, at Casa de Oakes. He was born on December 29, 1937, in Baraboo, Wisconsin, the son of Rodney Sr. and Jessie (Bauer) Getschman. On September 29, 1962, Glen was united in marriage to Janet Carol Rau. This marriage was blessed with two daughters.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Janet; daughters, Debbie Bindl and Jay Emling, and Tammy Getschman and Dean Huber; grandchildren, Michael and Jennifer Bindl; brothers and sister, Donald Getschman, Helen Standiford, Rex and Ray Getschman; several nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Rodney; brothers-in-law, James Standiford, Roger Knerr, and Duane Radel; sister-in-law, Kay Getschman.

A celebration of Glen’s life with Military Honors will be held at a later date. A full obituary will be published announcing the service details. The family requests at this time floral tributes be held until the time of the service.
