Helen G. (King) Liska, 97, of Cazenovia, passed away peacefully Friday, September 2, 2022 at St. Clare Meadows in Baraboo.  She was born February 18, 1925 to Anthony and Anna (Bruha) King.

Helen worked as a nurse at the Hansbury Hospital in Hillsboro when she met her soul mate Lyle Liska.  On September 11, 1947, Helen and Lyle were united in marriage in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Cazenovia.  This marriage was blessed with two daughters, Barbara and Lena.

Helen could also be found working on a variety of crafts, but was usually found making new quilts for her family and friends.  She also enjoyed giving her grandchildren and great-grandchildren rides around the farm on her tractor or Ranger.  And given the opportunity, telling them stories of her life while growing up and was never shy about sharing her opinions or quick wit.

She is predeceased in death by her husband Lyle; son-in-law Larry; parents and siblings.

Helen is survived by her two daughters, Barbara (Glenn) Gollmer and Lena (Roger) Dippel; grandchildren, Kerri, Larry (Diane), Jim (Melissa) and Heather (Justin); great-grandchildren, Katelyn (Sara), Buddy (Abbie), Jacob, Bowe, Colton, Kya, Samantha, Abigail, Timothy, Lyle, Dalton, Randi, Miliani and Ezekiel; and great-great grandson, Little Bud.  She is also survived by two sisters-in-law; and many other family and friends.
