Irene A. Rose, 98, of Reedsburg, passed away at home Sunday, April 28, 2024. 

Irene was born June 1, 1925 in Reedsburg to the late Albert and Emma (Wegner) Hinrichs.  She attended local schools.  In 1947, she married Walter Rose.  He preceded her in death May 3, 2006.

Irene attended St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Reedsburg for many years. She enjoyed gardening and canning, taking care of animals on their farm, and reading.

She is survived by her children: Gary (Sherry) Rose, Larry Rose, and Ardith Ryczek;  her grandchildren: Terry Miller II, Michael Ryczek Jr., Rhonda Ryczek, and Corey (Laura)  Miller; great grandchildren: Austin, Skyler, Dylan, and Travyn Miller, Kyle Ryczek, Tyson and Caden Pace, Priscilla McClinn and Mariah Wheeler; sister: Geraldine (Dennis) Klingenmeyer; brother: Robert (Rose) Hinrichs; sister-in-law: Norma Hinrichs; very special goddaughter: Lori Hinrichs Kelly; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Walter, she was preceded in death by daughter and son-in-law: Carol (Terry) Miller; brothers: Marvin and Owen Hinrichs; sister: Elva Struck and great grandson: Cody Ryczek.

Private family graveside services will be held for Irene Friday, May 10, 2024 at 11:00 am, at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Reedsburg.
