Jacqueline “Jackie” Peterson, age 79, of Cazenovia, WI, passed away peacefully following a recent cancer diagnosis on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at the Sauk County Health Care Center. She was born on July 5, 1943 in Woodland Township, Sauk County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Wallace and Harriet (Grosskrueger) Bradley.
She married Myron “Buddy” Daugs on September 6, 1958. To this marriage five children were born. They farmed in Reedsburg and Wonewoc.
On June 1, 1989, she was united in marriage to James “Jim” Peterson. During her lifetime she worked at the South Central Dairy Testing in Reedsburg, Trek Corporation in Waterloo, Gerber, Seats, and the Reedsburg Area Medical Center. She was a great artist, enjoying drawing and painting. She also liked spending time at home.
In her free time, when she wasn’t chasing one of the kids, Jackie excelled at drawing and painting. While she was fortunate to travel both domestically and to several different countries, Jackie was most content and happy when she was at home listening to Willie’s Roadhouse on the radio.
By her example, she taught her children to be humble, kindhearted, giving of their time and to have a great work ethic and yes, how to properly clean your house! Family was important to her as she always kept the most recent Christmas card pictures of her kids and grandkids hung up on the bedroom wall. She was incredibly proud of all her kids and extended family’s accomplishments and enjoyed hearing about the places they were visiting and the activities they were involved in. The constant twinkle in her eye when she smiled will forever be remembered and greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Sharon Schaper; sister-in-law Florence Bradley; and brother-in-law Andy Schyvinch.
Jackie is survived by her husband Jim; children: Tammy (Keith) Koenecke, Debbie (Dave) Hager, Lollie (Randy) Plantenberg, Faron (Julie) Daugs, Kari (Rick) Hutton, Darren (Barb McClure) Peterson; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister LaVonne Schyvinch; brother Wallace “Junior” Bradley; brother-in-law Bernie Schaper; several nieces, nephews; along with other relatives and friends.
A private family service for Jackie will be held at a later date.
Memorials of remembrance may be made to Agrace Hospice.
