Jake C. Strampe, age 42, of LaValle, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 28, 2025 as a result of an accident. He was born on December 9, 1982 n Madison, WI, the son of Edward J. Strampe and Shauna L. (Dunham) Strampe.

He grew up in Reedsburg and LaValle. Jake enjoyed jobs in service to others. He had a great work ethic and eagerly helped others when needed. He was most recently employed at Kwik Trip in Reedsburg. Jakes son’s, Jayce and Jayden, family and friends were very important to him. He was a great father to his two boys. He loved riding bikes with them on the area trails, fishing, and camping at the family pond. He was an avid swimmer in Dutch Hollow Lake and liked walking and being in nature. He loved living in LaValle and supporting the community any way he could.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dennis and Rosemary Dunham, and his paternal grandparents, Edward Strampe and Nona Strampe.

Jake is survived by his mother, Shauna Strampe, father Edward “Buddy” Strampe; his two sons; Jayce and Jayden Strampe; brothers and sisters, Mark Dunham, Shane Feltheim, Stephanie (Isaac) Knuth, Josh Frank, Vanessa (Sam) Williams, and Jamie Strampe; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends.

A memorial service for Jake Strampe will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Friday, August 15, 2025, at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Reedsburg, with Pastor Paul Crolius officiating. Visitation will be held before the service from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Reedsburg.
