James T. Holston Sr., age 61, of Reedsburg, WI, entered into eternal rest and everlasting life on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He showed his family true strength. He was born on August 7, 1961 in Fort Atkinson, WI, to Lauren and JoAnn (Seeber) Holston. On September 22, 1980 he was united in marriage to Martha Hernandez.

After graduating from Jefferson, Wisconsin, high school, He enlisted for a short term in the U.S. Army. He then went on to complete trucking school. Driving over the road was his passion. Jim prided himself with his family being first, and countless millions of miles over the road in 40 years of trucking. He created a family with his soul mate, and baby, baby, baby for the last 42 years.

He loved keeping in touch with his children and grandkids. Voice texting was his thing. He leaves behind his beloved dog, Mo. His other hobbies include online poker, a good card game, and fishing. He hardly hooked one, but he sure tried. He loved watching Thomas and Adrian play many sports over the years. Jim was a friend to many, and loved by most. James was always an honest, blunt, hard-working man. He was selfless and always put his family first.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lauren and JoAnn Holston.

James is survived by his wife, Martha Holston; daughter, Samantha Holston (Jimmy); sons James T. and Nichole Holston Jr., Jeremy J. Holston (Amber), Ryan J.  Holston, all of Reedsburg; Thomas and Esabella Holston of Tomah, and Adrian J. Holston (Yelitza) of Sauk City; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; along with other relatives and friends.

A private celebration of life will take place at a later date with his family and close friends per Jim’s wishes.
