Janice Mae Castile, age 66, of Hillsboro, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026.

She was born February 24, 1960, in Hillsboro, Wisconsin, to Veryl and Julie (Baldwin). Janice was united in marriage to Michael Castile, and together shared 48 years of memories. The two first met at Club 33, where Michael was playing horseshoes, after being introduced by a mutual friend and bartender—a story he remembers fondly.

Janice was a hardworking and dedicated woman. She spent over 20 years employed at Seats and most recently worked at Viking Deli, where she enjoyed the time spent with her coworkers and customers.

She absolutely loved gardening, spending time outdoors, and working on puzzles. Above all, Janice treasured time with her family—especially her grandchildren, who brought her great joy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Veryl and Julie Baldwin, and her brother, Kent “Opie” Baldwin.

She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Castile; her children, Matthew Castile of La Valle, Wisconsin, and Michelle Castile and Andy Rick of Wonewoc; her siblings, Cynthia Schultz of Reedsburg and Dale “Barney” Baldwin of Wonewoc; and her four beloved grandchildren, Colin and Shaylee Castile, and Abby and Adam Rick.

A burial service at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Wonewoc, Wisconsin, will be held at a later date. Farber Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
