Janice E. McDonough, age 91, of Reedsburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at the Ridgeview Terrace/LLC with her husband, George, of 73 years by her side. She was born on April 19, 1928 in Richland County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Ray and Flora (Cooper) Satterlee. On July 19, 1947 she was united in marriage to George L. McDonough. She farmed with her husband, George, and was as active in every aspect of farming. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the joy of her life. They lived next door and spent a lot of time together. She loved decorating and cooking, especially baking her caramel rolls. Janice was a lifelong member of the Lime Ridge United Methodist Church, and served as a Sunday school teacher.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Ned Satterlee.
Janice is survived by her husband, George; son, Mark (Cyndi) McDonough of Reedsburg; grandchildren: Jason (Stacy) McDonough, Jessica (Ross) Lapp, Megan (John) McCrackin, and Adam McDonough (Shaylea Walsh); great-grandchildren: Riley, Deakin, Evelyn, Murphy, Charlotte and Duke; nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
A memorial services for Janice will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, December 28, 2020 at the Lime Ridge Methodist Church with Pastor Elizabeth Jacobs officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials of remembrance may be made to the Lime Ridge United Methodist Church.
