Genevieve (Jean) Leszczynski Bennett, 89, of Lake Delton, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at her daughter's residence with her loving family by her side. Jean was born July 10, 1921, in Chicago, Illinois, to mother Theodora Bobrecki and father Stanley Marion Leszczynski. She was a Domestic Engineer first, and an entrepreneur to 3 businesses, second. Farming was one, gas station owner and operator was second, and motel owner and operator, finally in the great state of Wisconsin was third. She became an avid fisherwoman, and had always enjoyed dressmaking, gardening, music, sports, reading, crossword puzzles (without using a dictionary), card playing, and later being a saleswoman at the Country Bumpkin Farm Market and helping with planting flowers and veggie seeds in the greenhouses, a real true enjoyment. With her warmth and her flair for numbers, she was a hit with customers. She mainly loved the Arts, and in her earlier years, was in attendance to all the ballets, operas, and symphonic music concerts. She loved people, therefore, this reflection of her made her successful in all she partook in life. Genevieve is survived by two daughters, Theodora (Ray) Ghilarducci of Mundelein, Illinois, and Cynthia (Charles) Rhinehart of Wisconsin Dells; former son-in-law and precious friend, Edward Cyrulik of IL; grandsons Eric Cyrulik of San Francisco, California, and Daniel Rhinehart of Wisconsin Dells; granddaughter Debra (James) Spencer of Baraboo; nephews Dan (Joanne), Raymond (Kim), and Rory (Sonjia) Leszczynski; nieces Dolly (Mike) Stamer and Diana Leszczynski Mendoza; great nephew Andrew Leszczynski; great nieces Lori, Teresa, Kelly, Kristin, Katlyn, and Chloe Leszczynski, and Jackie (Justin) Miller; and great-great niece Adella Miller, all of IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Bennett; two sisters Stella (Joe) Kowalczyk and Jennie (Kenneth) Broomhall; and four brothers Leo (Monica), Theodore (Francis), Eddie (Bernice), and Edwin (Marian) Leszczynski.
