John Paul “Jack” Zentgraf, age 90, formerly of LaValle, passed away Monday, April 25, 2022, at the Sauk County Health Care Center in Reedsburg. He was born December 14, 1931 in Milwaukee, to the late John and Marion (Rice) Zentgraf. On June 6, 1953 he married Ruth Schulz.
John spent many years working as a steam fitter for Schlitz Brewery, and later the Milwaukee School system. He enjoyed working in his garden, watching the Packers and Brewers, and a good game of cribbage.
He was preceded in death by Jim and Betty Zentgraf, and Jack and Dorothy Schulz.
In addition to his wife Ruth, he is survived by his children, Robert (Mary) Zentgraf of Menomonee Falls, Barbara Zentgraf of Butler, Donald Zentgraf of Milwaukee, Debbie (Glen) Nelson of West Bend; his grandchildren Adam, Matt, Jamie, and Emily; and great-grandchildren Chase, Hailee, Keira, Kadance, Brynlee and Bennett.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated for John on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at 11:00 am, at Holy Angels Catholic Church in LaValle. The Reverend Sanctus Ibe, Pastor, will be the Celebrant. Visitation will also be on Thursday, at the church, from 10:00 am until the time of service. Private family burial will the follow service at Oak Lawn Cemetery in LaValle.
