Joseph James Finnegan, age 71, was born on July 31, 1951 in Reedsburg, died unexpectedly on June 10, 2023 in the Town of Coloma. On March 31, 1972, he was united in marriage to Tracy J. Olds. This marriage was blessed with three children.
Joe worked for Grede Foundry in Reedsburg and got his Pattern Maker Degree in Milwaukee. In 1985 he started his own business, Done-Rite Patterns and ran it until retiring in 2015. In his spare time he loved the outdoors, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed trap shooting, archery, and snowmobiling. Joe and Tracy joined the Columbia Co. Corvette Club in 2003 after buying the first of five Corvettes. They enjoyed many road trips, car shows, and vacations with their friend, and also several cruises.
In 2017 they moved to Coloma where Joe played golf several times a week. He also played pickle ball, and enjoyed several road trips with the Coloma friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Tracy; three children, Christine (James) Nagel, Jason Finnegan (Denise Schultz), and Candice (Dennis) Roitt; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Time of Remembrance will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg. Ashes will be buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Reedsburg.
