Joseph Williamson Sr., age 69 of Lyndon Station passed away peacefully on Thursday June 20, 2024 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison surrounded by his loving family. Joe was born in Mauston on March 10, 1955 to Delores (Schmocker) Williamson and John Williamson.

Joe worked at Grede Foundry in Reedsburg for 39 years in several different positions. He was well respected by all who worked with him.

Joe was a devoted member of the Reedsburg Masonic Lodge and other area lodges holding several different offices within the lodge. He was involved in York Rite, Commandry, and the Shriner's. He was extremely proud and grateful to be a part of this brotherhood.

In his free time, Joe enjoyed spending time with his grand-kids, family, and beloved dogs. He also enjoyed collecting coins and conducting in depth research into his family history. In the past, he enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, and camping.

Joe is survived by his wife of 44 years Diane (Rist) Williamson of Lyndon Station, son and daughter-in-law Joey and Megan Williamson of Reedsburg, daughter Pammy Williamson of Lyndon Station, grandsons Lucas Phillips, Trenton Williamson, and Mitchell Williamson of Reedsburg, and mother-in-law Patricia Rist of Lyndon Station. Joe is also survived by his brothers Dave (Sue) Williamson, Jim (Gail) Williamson, John (Barb) Williamson, Mike (Suichi) Williamson, and Skip (Judy) Williamson; sisters Chris Stewart, Deb (Nick) McDermott, Carol (Bob) Johnson, Mary (Chuck) Chenowith, and Gayle (Rich) Horn; brother-in-law Al (Deb) Rist; sister-in-law Connie (Neil) Lageson, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents Delores (Schmocker) Williamson and John Williamson, father-in-law Harold Rist, stepfather-in-law Andrew Kemp, two brothers Brian Williamson Kirby and Dennis Williamson, and his beloved dogs Max and Daisy.

A service will be held Tuesday July 2, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg. Visitation will be Monday July 1, 2024 at the Farber Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a Masonic Service beginning at 7:00pm and on Tuesday July 2, 2024 from 10:00 am until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Reedsburg Masonic Lodge in Joe’s name.
