Josephine M. Karstetter, age 88, of Reedsburg, WI, formerly of Ironton, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at the Sauk County Health Care Center. She was born on February 14, 1935 in Richland Center, WI, the daughter of Issac and Ethel (Shepherd) Small. On December 29, 1951 she was united in marriage to Dale Karstetter. This marriage was blessed with seven children. Josie loved to dance and also enjoyed cooking.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Rodney, Brian, Rolland and Russell Karstetter; and a grandson, Kristopher Karstetter.
She is survived by her husband, Dale of 71 years; children, Roger (Jenny) Karstetter of Loganville, Cheril Ferge of LaValle, and Mark (Sherry) Karstetter of LaValle; daughter-in-law, Sherry Karstetter of Ironton; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Fry; brothers David, Donald and Lester Small; along with other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Josephine Karstetter will be conducted at 11:30 AM on Monday, August 28, 2023 at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg with Chaplain Mike Amberg officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Burial will be made in Oak Lawn Cemetery, LaValle.
