Justin Vodak Obituary

Justin Wade “Slim” Vodak, age 41, of Reedsburg, passed away, Sunday, August 26, 2018, at Agrace Hospice Center in Fitchburg, WI, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born June 14, 1977, in Hillsboro, WI, the son of Fred and Bonnie (Nofsinger) Vodak. Justin graduated from Webb High School, Reedsburg in 1995, and the Heavy Equipment Operating and Truck Driving School of Sun Prairie.

Justin loved his family and friends.  He enjoyed motorcycling, snowmobiling, and spending time outdoors.  Slim never met a stranger.

His fiancé, Melanie DeMars;

 

Children: Jenesa Vodak (Zach Dix), and Nick Vodak (Abby Carrigan) of Reedsburg and Gunther Johnson;

Parents: Fred and Bonnie Vodak of Reedsburg;

Brother: Jarod (Jen) Vodak of Reedsburg;

Sister: Jolene (Brian) Soerfass of Baraboo;

Nieces and Nephews: Hannah, Cody, Joshua, Dylan and Elizabeth Soerfass, all of Baraboo;

Grandmother: Beverly Nofsinger of Hillsboro;

He is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, along with other relatives and friends.

Justin was preceded in death by Grandpa, Donald Nofsinger, and Grandpa and Grandma, Fred and Josephine Vodak.

Funeral services for Justin “Slim” Vodak will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Friday, August 31, 2018, at Trinity Baptist Church, Reedsburg, with Pastor Michael Lopp officiating. Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg, and on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials of remembrance may be made to Justin’s family to be designated at a later date.

Special thanks to family, friends, the staff at UW Carbone Cancer Center, and Agrace Hospice for the wonderful care given to Justin.
