Kenneth A. Fry, age 72, of LaValle, WI, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family following a valiant battle with heart failure on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. He was born on August 29, 1952, in Chicago, IL, the son of Robert H. and Laverne L. (Robinson) Fry.  Ken proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He later attended trade school and worked 47 years as a machinist.

In 1995, Ken moved to rural LaValle from Chicago. His dream of living on a farm became a reality.  He enjoyed the simple things in life and the slower, peaceful pace of rural living . Above all, Ken fiercely loved his family, they were his greatest joy. Because of that love, he continued to fight through his health setbacks to stay with them as long as possible.

His family is confident that Ken’s unwavering faith in the Lord led him into the Kingdom of Heaven. There he was met by those who preceded him in death: his parents and granddaughter, Paige Elaine Ruddy.

Kenneth is survived by his children, Sarah Fry (Shawn Ruddy), Holly (Mitch) McMillin, Katie (Cecil) Lands, and Nickolas (Caitlin) Fry; grandchildren: Isaiah and Laila Ruddy, Victoria, Marshall, Wyatt and Abigail Fry, Alyssa Polanco (Louis); brother, Stephan Fry (Sandy Foster) and lifelong friends, Gary and Ingrid Foster.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff of Agrace Hospice. Words cannot express the gratitude we all feel for everything you have done for our family.

Funeral services for Kenneth Fry will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 17, 2025, at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg. Visitation will be on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial with military rites will follow in the Resting Green Cemetery, Ironton.
