Kenneth V. Williams

Kenneth V. Williams, age 81, of Rock Springs, WI, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Meriter Hospital in Madison surrounded by his family. He was born on December 14, 1941 in Blue Island, Illinois, the son of Virgil O. and Ruth L. (Beuster) Williams. On September 3, 1965 he was united in marriage to Linda Kickert.

Kenneth proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. In 2008 he retired as a production manager of Actown Electrocoils Inc. He also spent years refinishing furniture for an antique business he owned with his wife in Union Grove, Ye Olde Red Barn Antiques.

In his earlier years Ken was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed snowmobiling with his children during winter months. In recent years he belonged to The Dells Cruisers, the Badgerland F100 Truck Club and Baraboo Classic Cruisers. His pride and joy was a 1968 Ford F100 truck that won many trophies at local car shows.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Scott Virgil Williams, son Michael David Williams on August 22, 1999, and his parents.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Linda of Rock Springs; daughters Carol Williams of Mauston, and Gayle Scully (fiancé Daniel Stone) of Reedsburg; daughter-in-law Sarah Williams-Racette of Mount Horeb; grandchildren Lexie Williams of Mount Horeb and Fiona Scully of Reedsburg.

A memorial service for Kenneth will be conducted on Friday, November 3,2023 at 11:00 am at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Rock Springs with Rev. David Karow officiating. Visitation will also be on Friday, at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service.

Burial with military rites will be held at St. John Lutheran Cemetery following the service.

The family would prefer memorials be given in his name to St. John Lutheran Church, Rock Springs in lieu of flowers.
