LeRoy Judd Obituary

LeRoy E. “Pops” Judd, age 80, of Loganville, WI, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021. He was born on June 18, 1941 in Loganville, the son of Everett and Emma (Nemitz) Judd. On May 4, 1968 he was united in marriage to Gertrude “Trudy” Horkan. This marriage was blessed with five children.  LeRoy was a Foremost Farms milk hauler for 44 years. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Hillpoint VFW Post #3434, and was on the Loganville Fire Department for 25 years.

“Pops” enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was a good joke teller, and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and wood working.

LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Edna Mae Peper, Dick Judd, Harley Judd, Steve Judd and Melvin Judd.

He is survived by his wife Trudy; children Shelly (Dale) Ray, Brenda (Wes) Siemandel, Julie Judd, Kevin (Pam) Judd, and Dan Judd (Sheila Carver); grandchildren: Riley and Holly Ray, Dilon and Devin Judd, Joshua and Carley Judd, Destany, Tammy and DeMarco Judd; great-grandchildren Mikal Judd and Hudson Ray; brothers and sisters Berni Weldy, Sally (Wayne) Luther, Hank (Sue) Judd, Linda (Don) Ritzenthaler, Jenny Faber and Butch Judd; aunt Veronica Nemitz; several nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for LeRoy Judd will be conducted at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Loganville with Pastor Donald Glanzer and Vicar Nathaniel Adkins officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Loganville. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg, and on Saturday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service at the church. St. Peter's requires face coverings be worn for the visitation and service at the church.

Memorials of remembrance may be made to Hillpoint VFW Post 3434, or the Loganville Fire Department in lieu of flowers.
