Lorraine E. Treptow, age 89, of Reedsburg, WI, passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Casa de Oakes in Reedsburg. She was born on July 20, 1931, in Summit Township, Juneau County, WI, the daughter of Frank G. and Ruby A. (Guiles) Lucht. On June 1, 1951, she was united in marriage to Arnold C. Treptow at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Big Creek, rural LaValle. She served in the Ladies Aid, and was a member of the LWML. Lorraine farmed with Arnold, then with her son Donald after Arnold passed away. She moved to Reedsburg in 2001. Lorraine helped with Sauk County ARC. She was an avid quilter, giving away many of the quilts to family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arnold; her son, Donald; daughters, Joan Treptow and Darlene Strassman.
Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Karen (Jim) Zimmerman of Reedsburg; grandchildren Brian (Jeri Esser) Strassman, Stacy Strassman, Kayla (Cody) Carlson, and Jason Zimmerman; great-granddaughters Haley and Alexa; great-great-grandson Ethan; sisters Beverly Dalberg (Bart Barton), and Mary Ann Lueders (Gale); sister-in-law Audrey Treptow; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Lorraine will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, July 5, 2021 at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Big Creek, rural LaValle, with Pastor Robert Butler officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 4 from 3:00-7:00 P.M at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg, and on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be made in St. Paul Cemetery, Big Creek. In lieu of flowers, memorials of remembrance may be made to St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church.
