Louise C. Kaun, age 91, of Loganville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at her home. She was born on May 6, 1934, in Westfield Township, Sauk Co., Wisconsin, the daughter of Paul and Lydia (Harms) Meyer. On August 21, 1952, Louise was united in marriage to Richard M. Kaun in St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Loganville. This marriage was blessed with three children. Richard preceded her in death on September 11, 2015.

Louise was employed as a CNA at the Sauk County Health Care Center for 20 years. She actively helped on the farm, and was instrumental helping her son with his businesses. She was an active member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Loganville. Louise enjoyed growing flowers and vegetables in her gardens, crocheting, crafting, and woodworking. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Steven on December 18, 2011; her parents; son-in-law, Brian Calhoun; brothers, Donald, Paul and Rueben Meyer; sister, Kathy Brown; and all of her brothers and sisters-in-law of the Kaun family.

Louise is survived by her daughter, Jody Calhoun (Joe Jackowski); son, Scott Kaun (Gail Anderson); grandchildren, Spenser Kaun (Jessica Dilley and children Kyleigh and Dane), Shannan (Brad) Thompson, Hunter Kaun of Atlanta, GA; great-grandchildren, Millie, Wynnie and Nessie; numerous nieces and nephews, along with many other relatives and friends.

A memorial service for Louise C. Kaun will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Loganville, with Pastor Peter Bredlau officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday morning, August 2, 2025 from 9:00 AM until 11:45 AM at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Loganville, or Lutheran Counseling and Family Service of Wisconsin, 3800 North Mayfair Road, Wauwatosa, WI 53222.
