Lynn Butler Obituary

Lynn C. Butler, age 76, of LaValle, WI, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. She was born on May 29, 1948 in Belvidere, IL, the daughter of John and Lucille (Hanson) Hoffman.

She married Dick Butler, she created a family and worked on the farm for 20 plus years. She worked at Lands’ End and drove Amish. Lynn was a member of the Plum Valley Homemakers, Soil Conservation Group, the Reedsburg Area Quilters Guild (many loved her quilting), and a leader for the Woodland 4-H Club. She bowled with a bowling league. Lynn looked forward to vacationing with her siblings. She loved traveling, going on bus trips, and visited all states but Hawaii. She raised Boston terriers.

Lynn was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Mike Hoffman; granddaughter, Amelia Butler; and niece, Michele Kjendlie.

She is survived by her children, Lori Dunse (Joe Ott) of Reedsburg, and David (Marci) Butler of Lake Geneva; grandchildren, Aaron Conrad, Victoria (Matthew) Stabnow, Alyssa Dunse, Michael, Ayhla, Pandora, Uriel, Skyler, Adeline, Logan and Morgan Butler; great-grandchildren, Viktor, Natalia, Lucas Stabnow, and Atlas Butler; sisters and brother, Mary (Jerry) Kolb, Butch (Vicki) Hoffman, Suzanne (Rich) Wagner, Sharon (Howard) Dokkestul, and Cindy Smith, and ex-husband Dick Butler; along with nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life for Lynn will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 from 1:00 until 4:00 P.M. at the Wonewoc American Legion Hall.
