Marcia L. Roessler, age 63, of Rock Springs, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at her home. She was born to Lucille (Doug Hoy) and James Spencer on February 22, 1961.

Marcia enjoyed gardening and tending to her many plants throughout her home. She certainly had a “green thumb” all her life. Marcia loved being outdoors, especially in summer. From having picnics out back with a bonfire to follow and going on numerous camping trips with family and friends, she was always up for just about anything outside. You never came over to Marcia’s house and left hungry or thirsty. She always made sure you were full and happy before you left. Without a doubt, Marcia’s greatest pleasure in her life was her children and grandchildren, and depending on the day, her husband as well. From watching sporting events and performances of theirs, to having overnight popcorn parties with them, they were the sparkle in her eye. She loved them dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Gerald Spencer; father-in-law Tom Roessler; and mother-in-law Alva Roessler.

She is survived by her husband Terrance Roessler, of Rock Springs; sons Abraham (Kelsey) Knuth of Ironton, and Isaac (Stephanie) Knuth of Loganville; daughter Jenna Krueger of North Freedom; grandchildren Trenten Knuth, Landen Knuth, Rylen Knuth, Autumn Knuth, Maddie Knuth, Aleah Starling, Abraham Knuth Jr., Justin Starling, Jaylee Krueger, and Brynnlee Krueger; sister’s Marie (Joseph) Ladika of Hillsboro, Margo (John) Krueger of Reedsburg, Marjorie (Robert) Bruha of Hartford, and Miriam McBain of Reedsburg; brothers George Spencer of Reedsburg, and Gene Spencer of Reedsburg; brothers-in-law Tommy (DeeAnn) of Loganville, Timmy (Lynelle) Roessler of Reedsburg, Teddy (Tammy) Roessler of Lime Ridge, Todd (Laura) Roessler of Trempealeau; sisters-in-law Debbie Labansky, of Reedsburg, Barbie (Randy) Halliday of Keshena; Doug and Kim Hoy of Baraboo; good friend Daniel Knuth of Reedsburg; and many nieces and nephews; and many good friends. We all will miss Marcia, but the memories we enjoyed with her will live on forever in our hearts. It’s not goodbye, it’s until we meet again.

Funeral services for Marcia Roessler will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, January 20, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lime Ridge with Pastor Daniel Lewig officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. The Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg, is assisting the family.
