Marguerite V. Rynkowski

Marguerite V. Rynkowski, age 93,of Reedsburg, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at the Sauk County Health Care Center.  She was born on May 24, 1925, in rural Lyndon Station, Wisconsin, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Champion) Shebyl.  On October 18, 1947, Marguerite was united in marriage to Alex F. Rynkowski.  This marriage was blessed with seven children.   Alex preceded her in death on January 3, 2000.

Marguerite was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Reedsburg.  She was a former member of the Winfield Homemakers.  She was an excellent cook and an avid gardener, and canned much of what she grew.  While on the farm, she enjoyed caring for her cats.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Rita Rynkowski.

Marguerite is survived by her sons, Bernard, Steve, and Raymond Rynkowski, all of Reedsburg; daughters, Anne (Wayne) Gnat of Dousman, Carol (Ron) Statz of Prairie du Sac, and Jeanne (Mark) Medenwaldt of Oak Creek;

Grandchildren, Tamara, Crystal, Michelle, Rachel, Alex and Brandon;

Great grandchildren, Zohay, Aliah, Dassi and Gabriel; along with several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Marguerite Rynkowski will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Reedsburg,  with Father David Carrano officiating.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at the church.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Sacred Heart Catholic School Endowment Fund.
