Marian M. (Wollin) Ristow

Marian M. (Wollin) Ristow, age 89, of LaValle, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, May 9, 2020.  She was born on April 29, 1931, in Mauston, Wisconsin, the daughter of Clifford and Vera (Niles) Peterson.  In September 1959, Marian was united in marriage to August E. Wollin.  He preceded her in death in 1994.  She later married Ernest Ristow, who also preceded her in death.  Marian was a faithful member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in LaValle , and a  member of the LaValle American Legion Post 242 Auxiliary.  She enjoyed watching westerns and birdwatching.

She is survived by her children, Mike (Sharlene) Wollin of LaValle, Patty Wollin (Michael Royce) of Ironton, Rick (Pamela) Wollin of Brodhead, Greg (Connie) Wollin of LaValle, and Sheryl (Rolland) Spencer of Lone Rock; 18 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.  She is further survived by her brothers, Alan (Diane) Peterson, Neil (Maxine) Peterson; brother-in-law, Richard Sorenson; and cat, Suzy.

Marian was also preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Christine Sorenson.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, in Oak Lawn Cemetery, LaValle, with Pastor Robert Butler officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran Church, LaValle.
