Marlene F. Tourdot, age 80, of Oregon, formerly of Reedsburg, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the Oregon Manor. She was born on November 12, 1941 in Sauk County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Fred and Anna (Mellenthin) Petzke. She grew up on the family farm between Leland and Denzer along with her nine siblings. She graduated from Prairie du Sac High School in 1959. Marlene’s first marriage was to David Small in 1962. In 2002, she married Gordon Tourdot.
The majority of Marlene’s work life was at Carr Valley Cheese Factory when her kids were young and later she spent several years at Seats.
She was a very active and creative person. She was involved with her church, volunteered at the Reedsburg hospital, participated in a card club, and was on several bowling leagues. Marlene had a wide variety of hobbies she enjoyed including gardening, sewing, knitting, crocheting, ceramics, needlepoint, cross-stitch and reading. Those creative items were frequently given as gifts to her family members and will now be even more treasured. One additional hobby was walking. She loved to walk and did a couple of miles almost every day.
Marlene is survived by her children, Vicki Eyers, and Lenny (Teresa) Small; six grandchildren, Alex (Marie) Small, Christine Small, Melissa (Forrest) Cantwell, Zach (Naomi) Eyers, Nick Small and Eli Small; and two great grandchildren, Lucas Small and Addison Cantwell. In addition, Marlene is survived by siblings Dean (Harolyn) Petzke, Marva (Don) Pagel, Dennis (Mary) Petzke, and Sheryl (Forrest) Schuck.
Marlene is preceded in death by her son Tracy, her husband Gordon Tourdot, son-in-law Jeff Eyers, her parents, and siblings Dorothy Leake, Earl Petzke, Gladys Getschman, Leon Petzke, and Roger Petzke.
A memorial service for Marlene will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg with Rev. Vicki Brantmeyer, Pastor of the Reedsburg United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service.
