Mary L. Camp Obituary

Mary Lynn Camp, 80, of Reedsburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at the Sauk County Health Care Center.

Born January 6, 1946, in Olean, New York, Mary was the daughter of the late Alvin Francis and Nellie Christine (Weaver) Ueblhear.

On August 20, 1966, she married the love of her life, Alan Bernard Camp. Together they shared many years of marriage until Alan’s passing in 2015. Though separated for a time, the family takes comfort knowing the two are “Together Again.”

Mary enjoyed her work-family and retired from Zinga Industries.  She had a passion for reading and could always be found enjoying everything from the daily news to a good novel.

Known by family and friends as the ultimate Elvis expert and his number one fan, Mary’s love for Elvis Presley brought her great joy throughout her life. She also held a treasured place in her heart for cats (big and small).

Above all else, Mary deeply loved her son, Alan Jr.  The bond they shared brought her tremendous happiness throughout her life.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and caregivers whose kindness, compassion, and care brought comfort to Mary and her family.

Mary is survived by her son Alan Camp Jr. of Reedsburg, her brother Ronald Ueblhear of Friendship, NY; her sister Laura Hirliman of Macedon, NY; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

Per Mary’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and she will be reunited with Alan at St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Allegany, New York.

Mary will be remembered for her love of family, her devotion to Elvis, her compassion for animals, and the warmth she shared with everyone who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mary’s honor to Wisconsin Big Cat Rescue & Educational Center (www.wisconsinbigcats.org) a tribute fitting her lifelong love of cats and other animals.
