Mary Ann was a vibrant member of her community, participating in square dances and lake activities. She was a member emeritus of the Reedsburg Area Women’s Club. With a degree from Marquette University in business, Mary Ann wrote a shopping column after she graduated, then moved on to a thriving career in sales: kitchen planning, insurance, cleaning products, vitamins and skin care. She loved to entertain friends old and new at their La Valle home. A wide array of charities and service organizations benefited from her generosity throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jim, her parents, Clarence and Helen Rambousek, her brother Robert, and her son Bobby.
The family extends special thanks to Karen Maxey, lifelong friend, who was as devoted as any daughter could be. We are also grateful to the staff of Casa de Oakes and Agrace Hospice who made her last days more comfortable.
No memorial service is planned at this time due to the coronavirus. We expect to schedule a celebration of her life when conditions are safer. Eventual interment will take place at St. Lawrence Cemetery next to her husband. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Autism Research Institute, 4182 Adams Avenue, San Diego, CA 92116.
