Marybel Rego Obituary

Marybel Rego, age 92, of Loyd, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2020. She was born on August 23, 1927 in Richland Center, WI, the daughter of Albert and Mary (Shannon) Lyman. On May 1, 1947 she was united in marriage to William F. Rego at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Germantown. This marriage was blessed with nine children. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Germantown. Marybel was a great storyteller, and family was everything to her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William on October 4, 2002; two sisters and three brothers.

Marybel is survived by her children: Sharon (Mike) Bloyer, Marlene (Lowell) Ewing, Dennis (Jeanne) Rego, Ronald (Sandra) Rego, Yvonne (John) Van Kirk, Carol Rego (Mark Vanderloop), Joan (David) Carlin, Mary (Joel) Strang and William (Diana) Rego Jr; 20 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; along with other relatives and friends.

A private family graveside service for Marybel Rego will be held at St. Bridget’s Cemetery, Westford Township. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Germantown.

The Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg, is assisting the family.
