Monica Braun Obituary

Monica J. Braun, age 78, of Reedsburg, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022, at UW Health at the American Center, Madison. She was born on March 31, 1943 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Rudolph and Mary (Domijancic) Brncick. On January 2, 1960, Monica was united in marriage to Franklin D. Braun at St. Louis Catholic Church in Caledonia, WI. This marriage was blessed with eight children. He preceded her in death in March 14, 1999.

Monica and Frank owned and operated a farm in rural Richland Center while raising their family. She was a hard working farm wife. She worked at the House on the Rock for several years prior to her retirement. Monica enjoyed crafts, especially knitting and crochet. She found relaxation reading and working in her garden. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; grandsons, Zachary and Shawn; sisters, Mary and Donna; and brother-in-law, Gregory Dulka.

Monica is survived by her children, Gail Braun, Yvonne Braun (Ken Loether), Frank Braun, Jr. (Neely Lisney), Tad (Roni) Braun, Mark Braun, Sharon (Timothy) Saladis, Rudy Braun, Sarah (Eric) Lovegreen; grandchildren, Emily, Joseph, Joshua (Staci), Chelsea (Mike), Kalin (Ryan), Destine, Amanda, Christopher, Jamie (Matt) Taylor (Chris), Kody, Kaiden, Katie (Brett), Dalton, Carson, Allyson, Erica; great-grandchildren, Ian, Easton, Jackson, Brayleigh, Audrey, Reighlynn, Hunter, Kali, Austin, Mattlyn, Evelyn, Everec, Ashley, Aubrey; and great-great-granddaughter Willow; sisters, Dorothy (John) Finger, Virginia (Larry) Gename, Carol Dulka (Tom Jensen); sister-in-law, Maryann Rufer; brother-in-law, Mike Tuinstra; several nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service for Monica Braun will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
