She worked at Lands' End for nine years and the Reedsburg Area Chamber of Commerce for 10 years. Monica thoroughly enjoyed her time as a volunteer at RAMC's ACU unit, the hospital gift shop, and Riverview Thrift Shop, as well as and most recently a Board Member of Partners of Reedsburg Area Medical Center. She designed logos, and brochures as well as various other preservation projects around Sauk County.
