Muriel C. Blakeslee

Muriel C Blakeslee, age 99 of Reedsburg, formerly Ironton and Middleton, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022. She was born on April 26, 1923, in Sauk County, WI, the daughter of Dolph and Millie (Stowe) Mortimer. She married Arnold Bliss Blakeslee in March of 1947.

Survivors include three sons: David (Patricia) of Maribel WI, Bruce (Bonney) of Freeland WA, Mark (Kathe) of Middleton WI; daughter-in-law, Becky of Loveland CO; 7 grandchildren: Paul, Meghanne, Leigh, Laura, Kevin, Matt, Katie; 13 great grandchildren: Isaac, Grace, Mitchell, Cameren, Ethan, Trinity, Collin, Connor, Ryan, Tessa, Leo, Naomi, Mackenzie. She is also survived by one brother, Duane (Dick) Mortimer, Columbus WI and a sister in-law, Connie Mortimer, Richland Center WI. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arnold; brothers and their wives, Ronald (Mike) & Virgie Mortimer, Walter (Pat) & Gen Mortimer, brother Dean (Casey) Mortimer; brothers and sisters in-law, Donald Blakeslee, Robert (Bob) & Avis Blakeslee, Lorraine Grover and Beth Mortimer.

A private memorial service will be held on August 20. Burial will follow in Ironton Resting Green Cemetery. The family requests no flowers, but expressions of sympathy be sent to the American Diabetes Association and the Reedsburg United Methodist Church.
