Nancy Dolan Obituary

Nancy Kay Dolan, age 85, of Reedsburg, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer, in her home with her family by her side.

Nancy was a kind, caring woman who loved her family and friends and had a great sense of humor.

She was born on April 19, 1940, in Excelsior Township, Sauk County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Harold and Harriet (Gibeaut) O’Connor.

Nancy was a 1958 graduate of Webb High School in Reedsburg and went on to attend Sauk County Teacher’s College for 1 year.

On February 20, 1960, Nancy was united in marriage to Robert Lee Dolan, they had three children.

Nancy was employed at Hankscraft for 39 years until her retirement in 2002.  She worked 2 more years for the School District of Reedsburg in the Food Service Department at Webb Middle School.

Nancy had an appreciation for music, her favorite being country music.

Nancy loved animals, especially cats. She grew up on a farm just outside of Reedsburg, until her parents gave up farming and moved into town.

Nancy collected Coca Cola memorabilia, she enjoyed antiquing, shopping, taking walks, gardening, and baking (she made the best pies, caramel rolls, fudge, and cut out cookies.) She also loved to travel whether it be short car rides to see the sites or longer trips.

She was especially fond of the many memories she made while motorcycling with her husband and camping with her family at country music festivals, state parks, and out west. Nancy also tried her luck on occasion at the casinos during her travels.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; son, Jeffrey Dolan (Stephanie Bauer); sister, Lorna Gade (Arvin); and niece, Peggy Gardner.

Nancy is survived by her daughters; Julie Dolan (Lisa Donna) of Reedsburg, Jill Dolan of Reedsburg; grandchildren; Kristy (Chad) Austin-Locke of Reedsburg, Rob Dolan of Mauston, Ryan Dolan of Reedsburg; great grandchildren; Avahlyn Locke, Myla and Livia Dolan; nieces; Pam Schultz and Patti (Lon) Knoll; along with many other relatives and friends.
