Paige Elaine Ruddy

Paige Elaine Ruddy, age 19, of Reedsburg, WI, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison. She was born on September 10, 2003, in Reedsburg, the daughter of Shawn P. Ruddy and Sarah R. Fry. Paige was a 2022 graduate of Reedsburg Area High School.

She was a member of the Willow Valley Saddle Club for many years and enjoyed working in the announcer’s booth during horse shows. Paige was an avid gardener, raising a variety of vegetables and flowers.  She enjoyed making cookies and catching up on TV shows with Grandma and Grandpa, doing crafts, and she always looked forward to Saturday game nights with her family.

Paige will be guided through the next phase of her journey by her grandmother, Francine Fry; great-grandmother, Elaine Pirsig, and her dog, Claude.

Paige is survived by her husband, Logan Mitchell-Carter; parents, Sarah Fry and Shawn Ruddy; brother and sister, Isaiah and Laila Ruddy, all of Reedsburg; paternal grandparents, Pat and Janet Ruddy of Reedsburg; maternal grandfather, Kenneth Fry of LaValle; mother and father-in-law, Jennifer Gander of Wonewoc, and Shane Carter of Reedsburg; aunts and uncles, Chad and Brea Ruddy of Madison, Holly and Mitch McMillin of Ironton, Katie and Cecil Lands of Baraboo, and Nick and Kaitlin Fry of Ironton; dear friend, Kelsie Graves; her horse Duke; along with many cousins and other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Paige’s life will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Reedsburg Jaycee Building, 1403 VIking Drive in Reedsburg.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff of the TLC Unit at UW-Madison Hospital.

Memorials of remembrance may be made to the Willow Valley Saddle Club, or the Columbia County Humane Society.
