Patricia J. Murdock

Patricia J. Murdock, age 87, of Reedsburg, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023, at Our House Assisted Living.  She was born on January 6, 1936, in Reedsburg, WI, the daughter of Frank and Blanche (Schilling) Decot.  On July 24, 1954, Patricia was united in marriage to James D. Murdock. This marriage was blessed with four children.  James preceded her in death on February 11, 2010.

Pat was employed at Seats, Inc from 1974 to 1998. She was later employed at Land’s End during the holiday season and was a volunteer for Helping Hands. Pat was an avid reader – especially crime novels and enjoyed shopping.   She was a big fan of Elvis and Patrick Swayze, and enjoyed the company of her Scotties through the years. 

She is survived by her children, Shane (Kim) Murdock of Reedsburg, Dawn (Tom) Russell of Mazomanie, Brian Murdock and Bruce (Tammy) Murdock all of Reedsburg; grandchildren: Tanya (Hank) Lewis, Joseph Burdick, Shaun (Christina) Burdick, Alana (Edward) Machovec, Athena (Justin) Christophersen, Sade Murdock (Nate Stromberg), Melanie Murdock (Brennan Jania), Matthew Murdock, Tyler Murdock; great grandchildren: Gavin, Kyler, Liam, Harper and Logan; sister-in-law, Ruth (Peter) Quartuccio; several nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Robert “Bobby” Murdock; and her siblings.

Mass of Christian Burial for Patricia J. Murdock will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, October 27, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Reedsburg, with Fr. Luke Powers officiating.  Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, LaValle.  Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg where the Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 PM. Visitation will also be on held on Friday morning from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.
