Peter E. Peterson, age 82, of Wonewoc, formerly of Reedsburg, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. He was born on February 24, 1940, in Cazenovia, WI, the son of Everett T. and Louise M. (Hanko) Peterson.  On February 27, 1960, Peter was united in marriage to Arzineth “Ardy” Williams.  This marriage was blessed with four children.  Peter’s favorite hobbies included hunting and fishing; he enjoyed sports, especially cheering on the Packers and enjoyed a cold Pabst.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Ardy, on July 18, 2001.  He was also preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, baby Heiking; sister-in-law, Louise Peterson; and brother-in-law, Ed Spencer.

He is survived by his children, Debbie Heiking of Lime Ridge, Cheryl Perry of Reedsburg, Steven (Sandy) Peterson of Reedsburg, and Jennifer (Darin) Gnirk of LaValle; grandchildren, Amber, Nathan, Derek, Dustin, Brianna, Dylan, Brandi, Morgan and Peter; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Ann Spencer, James Peterson, Sally (Gary) Haftield, Jeanette (Bob) McCarthy, William (Jean) Peterson, Linda (Wayne) Osborn, Allan Peterson, Joseph Peterson, Conrad (Teresa) Peterson, Leonard (Roberta) Peterson.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Peter E. Peterson will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 9, 2023, at the Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg, with Pastor Beth Voigt officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery, Germantown. Visitation will be held on Monday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
