Phillip Bailey Obituary

Phillip Bailey, age 84 of Reedsburg, WI, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Unity Point Health Meriter Hospital in Madison. He was born on February 8, 1941 in Chicago, IL, the son of LeRoy and Lillian (Bathie) Bailey.


Phillip had worked for AT&T Communications. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army overseas during the Vietnam War. He was the Sauk County Republican Party District Chairman. Phillip attended church and bible studies at Trinity Baptist Church and Bible Baptist Church in Reedsburg, and Advent Christian Church in LaValle.


He was preceded in death by his parents, and his two older brothers, Tom and Richard.


He is survived by his daughter, Catherine Mutchler of Lone Rock; and her three sons, daughter, and five great-grandchildren; and daughter, Deborah (Tony) Nelson, and her two daughters.


Military graveside rites will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, January 16, 2026 at the Northwoods National Cemetery in Harshaw, Onieda County, Wisconsin.
